This successful gite complex is made up of three individual dwellings offering both owners and guests a taste of authentic rural France with privacy from each other during their holiday stay. The property includes a newly converted barn and with each house having two bedrooms, you can take your pick as to which one to live in and which to let out.
The owners live in the house overlooking the property. There is a dining room with access to a pretty patio. The fitted tiled kitchen is spacious and goes through to a large lounge with fireplace and original features. Upstairs, one bedroom has an en-suite orange bathroom. The other bedroom, also with wood flooring, is a double and there is a shower room in between. The first gite, with two bedrooms, is simply decorated with open plan kitchen/diner. The accommodation is all on one level and includes a twin and double bedroom and shower room. The main gite is the tastefully converted barn with lots of exposed stonework and beams. The kitchen and living room are open plan with wood burning stove. The owners decided to offer two bedrooms with en suite shower rooms.
The collection of outbuildings includes the boiler room that gives oil fired central heating to the main house. There is a useful games room for guests, an office area within the barn, then two large hangers for under-cover parking. Each house has its own patio for dining out. The property has a lawn area, orchard and an above ground pool. There is a right of way across a neighbour’s land that allows you to go down to a nearby stream.
The property is just five minutes drive from the market town of Melle which has a good choice of shops, places to eat and schools. Poitiers is under an hour away with international train and air links.
