Usually houses in the centre of hamlets require some compromise on the owners wish for privacy. This well presented property is an exception. Tucked up a private drive way and entered behind wooden gates you can either choose to socialise out front in the courtyard area or hide yourself away in the enclosed garden and land area that is your back garden.
I entered direct into the tiled living area with cosy wood burning stove and stained beams. The room has ample space for dining table too. Off the heart of the home was a rectangular modern kitchen with ample room for sink, fitted units and the rest. Both the bathroom, with overhead shower and basin, and a separate WC are on the ground floor. Up the solid stairs is a spacious landing with room for an office area overlooking the front of the house There are two comfortable double bedrooms and the third, I would say works better as a single bedroom or more work space.
The two plots of attached garden lie either side of the barn. Both are lawned, hedged and not overlooked. The stone barn has a new roof and offers plenty of storage options. Through the other side of the barn is a surprise garden plot ideal for your chickens or vegetables.
The hamlet is five minutes drive from the small shops of Chaunay. A fifteen minute drive takes you to either Civray or Couhé which offer greater consumer choice if you are looking for supermarkets. Poitiers is your nearest airport and also has TGV train links at about 35 mi utes drive northwards.
