Well, I would be very happy to spend a week or two in this lovely presented gîte complex and if you owned it you would could even stay here all year round and, like the present owners, make a half decent income at the same time. There is no work to do so you can move in immediately and even benefit from the repeat bookings that this property attracts.
The 3 and 4 bedroom cottages are almost identical and are at either end of the longère. They both have spacious fitted kitchens, wood floor living rooms with exposed stonework and wood burning stoves. Upstairs the wood flooring and beams continue and each house has a master bedroom with en suite bathroom as well as a bathroom for the other bedrooms. The cottage sandwiched in the middle has an open plan kitchen cum living room and only two bedrooms but often attracts more bookings out of the main summer season. There is also a cellar beneath one of the living rooms and at one end the owners have made an attractive covered patio area for their own private use.
The land is extensive and mainly lawn. Opposite the house is a large hanger, stable, stone shed and an old bread oven. All are in good condition. The property has two entrances and a separate parking area for guests, a vegetable plot and an above ground pool.
The hamlet is 8kms from the market town of Civray and 35 minutes drive to Poitiers with its international air and rail links.
