This property has the potential to be a cosy home with the bonus of balcony views over the Vienne river valley. There is some work to do but the first fix stage of the project has been well thought out. The character features that the owners have preserved make this house well worth a visit.
The hallway has the original coloured tiles. There is a bathroom adjacent with the fittings ready for connection to mains drainage. Two double bedrooms are also on this level and a living room with that balcony and stairs that go down to a kitchen area. The exposed woodwork and brickwork on the fireplaces in the two main rooms has been sympathetically restored. The kitchen for the moment has a cement floor, basic units and a sink.
The rear garden slopes down the east facing valley and contains small shrubs and fruit trees. There is a spring that provides free water for the garden. There are some small stone sheds in need of repair and a side alleyway gives access into the large cellar.
Queaux is a pretty riverside village with small shops and leisure facilities related to its waterside location. L’Isle Jourdain is 10miutes drive away for a wider choice of shops and bars. For flights to the UK or TGV train, Poitiers and Limoges are both about an hour’s drive away.
