With a little imagination it is possible to see what this house and garden would be like given some TLC. I do not believe it would take a lot of either. I would have to redo the kitchen put apart from that and some paint here and there this is ready to go.
Enter the house from the veranda which separates the whole of the house from the garden, into the blue kitchen. To the right is the large lounge with old oak beams and fireplace. At the rear is the utility room, modern bathroom with separate shower and the toilet. At the end of the house are the two double bedrooms. The garden is a good size, secluded with views over fields – it just needs tidying up. External stairs at the side of the house take you up to the garage roof terrace and entrance to the attic room (possibility of conversion here).
The garage also houses the oil fired boiler. At the rear of the house is a courtyard and a couple of sheds. It would be possible to extend the house, I believe, into this area if more space is required.
Set in a small hamlet it is a short distance to the village of Sommiers-du-Clain with bars, restaurant, boulangerie, butcher (no candlestick maker though), and 10 minutes drive to the market town of Civray and all amenities. © |
