Situated in the heart of a tiny village – with its own bar/restaurant/hotel – this terraced house is (to quote my French boss) ‘habitable but not comfortable’. You could certainly live in it while modernising the property; the large attics are convertible, turning it into a very large property.
I entered through the conservatory – there are two potential front doors – and into a kitchen which is a decent size but currently only has a sink. Beyond here is a downstairs room with wooden floor, looking out onto the garden. To the right is a large tiled room, most recently used as a bedroom, with a shower room and separate WC. Access to the garden is via the store room which could be converted into yet more living space. One staircase leads up to a bedroom, while a second leads to the attics. One could easily have three bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs, freeing up the downstairs rooms as living room and dining space. It will need imagination rather than a big budget.
The fenced garden provides plenty of space for outside wining and dining. There is off-road parking.
The village has a bar/restaurant. A full range of shopping facilities is less than ten minutes away at Savigné, where there is a retail park, including hypermarket, shopping centre and DIY stores. © |
