In rural French terms, this is a small house. However, with plenty of storage space in the outbuildings opposite (small photo), it should be easy to keep the house neat and tidy. I loved the wooden floors upstairs and pretty hedged garden in front. You will need to redecorate and update but the end result could be an adorable little house. Alternatively, one could live in the small house while renovating the large outbuildings (which have their own garden). Plenty of options here!
Entrance is into a hallway with an attractive staircase. To the right, a cosy living room, to the left a tired kitchen in need of updating. There are a storeroom and further room on this level. The attractive staircase takes one up two double bedrooms with wood floors and a small shower room.
There is a small, hedged garden in front of the house and there is a larger garden behind the outbuildings. The latter include a garage and potential workshop space. They would convert into an attractive large property.
The property is situated in a hamlet surrounded by attractive, undulating countryside. It is less than ten minutes from the little riverside town of Chef Boutonne with a choice of bars, restaurants, supermarkets, schools, cinema, public château, fishing lake, builders’ merchants, weekly open-air market and a pavement café culture in the summer months. © |
