More and more people are selling up in rural hamlets to move into little market towns. (In UK terms we are talking about bustling villages, with just 2,000 inhabitants but a wide range of commerce on the doorstep). Why? Well, there is no need to get in the car each time you want to shop or eat out. This particular property is ready to live in, but with plenty of potential projects if you so wish.
A wide hallway could easily double up as a study area. To the left is a living room and beyond the kitchen which has plenty of space for eating. These rooms have exposed beams, although the linoleum floors could do with being replaced (by traditional tiles?) The downstairs accommodation is completed by a bathroom, WC and a handy store cupboard. An attractive staircase leads up to a WC and three large double bedrooms, each currently accessed from the previous one. I would be tempted to add a second staircase, in the kitchen, to offer direct access to the master bedroom.
In addition to a large, attached garage and the handy storage areas behind the house, there is a large, unattached parcel of land a minute’s walk away, currently used as a vegetable plot.
