If the main photo gives one the impression of a cottage, then the smaller one on the Extra Pictures page suggests a large town house. In fact, it is both and there are surprises in store on the tour of this very large property.
A gated entrance leads to a passageway and on to the front door (to the side of the house). The first impression is of a small village house: hall, cosy parlour, downstairs bedroom and bathroom. One then enters a huge living room with fireplace and onto the fitted kitchen. However, as one climbs up to the first and second floors it becomes apparent that the house is huge: four further bedrooms, a second bathroom, two storerooms and a dressing room. A studio flat on the first floor is rented out (corner kitchen, living area, and shower room with WC). A second studio is currently empty.
There is a huge garage with a convertible attic above. The small garden is part patio and part lawn.
Chef Boutonne has two supermarkets, a range of small shops, choice of bars and restaurants, a weekly open air market, builders’ merchants and a pavement café culture during the summer.
