This house has been recently redecorated and I would imagine that the living room is always light and bright, even on an overcast day. The accommodation is in perfect condition; currently all on the first floor, there is both an attic and a ground floor ‘basement’ if you feel the need to expand. The icing on the cake: most of the contents, except for a few personal items, are included in the price.
The steps up to the front door offer views over the surrounding countryside. The door opens directly into an open-plan living space: a fully fitted kitchen area and living/dining room. The kitchen area is tiled but the living area and two bedrooms have original wood flooring. The modern bathroom is tiled and contains shower, wash basin and WC. The double bedrooms are also off the living area and are attractively decorated. The heating system is electric with radiators in each room.
Stairs lead down into the garage and workshop but some of this space could easily be converted into a third bedroom, as could the attic space. The land surrounds the house and includes an established vegetable plot, lawn areas and sun-trap patio. There are panoramic views of open countryside.
The hamlet is close to the riverside town of Couhé which has a good choice of bars, restaurants and shops. Poitiers and its international airport are both within 25 minutes drive on the N10. © |
