This house displays its unassuming back to the country road (not a busy one), as if it is ashamed or shy. However, as you turn into the courtyard you are greeted by a wonderful surprise: a fabulous longère (longhouse), with attractive pointed stone. There is a beautiful garden, walled barbecue area, orchard, pool and a number of outbuildings.

It would make a delightful dining room if someone decided to change things around. There is a storage area behind here with attic access. By the hall is a downstairs WC. A three minute drive away is the market town of Lezay with its supermarket, bars, restaurants, cinema, park, summer lido and one of the largest weekly open-air markets in rural France. © |
