A house with nothing to do and easy to look after; a low maintenance garden for pottering in; I would just have to spend time enjoying the sun, pool and maybe the odd glass of wine, as I sit on the terrace and enjoy the quiet calm of my surroundings.
Although this property is just five years old, it has character and charm in its layout, wood-burning stove in the lounge and patio doors onto the terrace with views over the river and park area. There is a nice entrance hall which opens out into the large lounge diner with fireplace and those patio doors. The kitchen is a good size and is fully fitted and equipped. Three double bedrooms, although one is currently used as an office, and a large bathroom with both bath and separate shower complete the accommodation. The garage is large enough to double as a workshop/utility room as well.
The bungalow is set back in the plot giving a pleasing front garden and drive/parking area, with the main garden and pool to the rear. At the bottom of the garden is an area currently left to grass and wild flowers. Beyond the end of the garden is the lake and river.
The village has bar and boulangerie and it is a very short drive to the small market towns of either Civray or Sauzé Vaussais with their markets and every day facilities. © |
