This property arguably scores ten out of ten in terms of location: situated at the top of a hill, overlooking a historic village with its own bar and baker. Be warned, though, this is a huge property with outbuildings on a big scale! The house was an enormous holiday home for a well-to-do French family. However, it has been empty for years now and will need plenty of redecorating and TLC.

Genouillé has a bar, boulangerie, hairdresser and infant school. Nearby Civray offers supermarkets, bars, restaurants, summer lido, twice weekly open-air market and in the summer, a pavement café culture.
