Let’s be frank: the internal décor of this house will not suit everybody’s taste. However, the house has been renovated and if you can cope – in the short term – with the poorly fitted linoleum floors and lime-green cladding then this would make a cheap and reasonably cheerful holiday home.
The heart of this house is the open-plan kitchen/living-room. The former is fitted and the latter has an attractive wooden floor and wood burner; so far, fairly promising. There is a separate dining room with the lime-green effect and a useful storage/utility room. Upstairs there is a bathroom and separate WC. The two bedrooms have low ceilings.
Outside, there is a courtyard garden and a conservatory.
The sleepy village is less than fifteen minutes’ drive from the bustling market town of Chef Boutonne with its chateau, park, fishing lake, supermarket, cinema, traditional open-air market, restaurants and pavement café culture.
