A
view of the village rooftops and a hint of the countryside beyond await
the new owner of this 1960s house, from a balcony-terrace large enough
for sunbathing, eating al-fresco and displaying a colourful array of pot
plants. With a second, traditional stone building to renovate, there is
something for (almost) everyone here.
The tiled hall leads into a kitchen with direct access to a larger dining
room with lounge area. A separate living room could be created in the
room currently being used as a downstairs bedroom. A utility area and
WC complete the ground floor. Up the sturdy staircase are three double
bedrooms with attractive wooden floors, a bathroom and WC. One of the
bedrooms leads out to that terrace.
Outside, the garden is a very good size for a village centre location
and a number of outbuildings, garage, attached open barn and second house
(for renovation) complete the varied picture.
The village has a bar, restaurant, grocer/baker, chemist, library and
other facilities. Fifteen minutes away is the bustling market town of
Chef Boutonne, with its bars, restaurants, supermarkets, cinema, and schools.
