How would you like to be the owner of a cosy private hideaway, complete with Christmas trees in your own garden? Well this could be the house for you, set as it is in a small hamlet overlooking the impressive Monts d’Ambazac. It is a holiday home par excellence and you can move straight in. There is enough garden to be enjoyable rather than a huge expense or effort to manage.
Access to the house is via two gates to the garden. The front door opens into a lounge, then through to the left is a kitchen/dining room with an insert fireplace. Off to the left from this room is a shower room with wc. Upstairs is the main bedroom, from which another staircase leads up to a smaller attic bedroom or study.
There is a stone shed attached to the property which houses the heater. The enclosed garden is laid to lawn, with mature shrubs, trees and a few standing stones (a feature of this area), and also includes a garage cum workshop.
The picturesque and history laden town of Benevent L’Abbaye is a short distance away but the nearby village of Marsac has several basic facilities including shops, bars and even a heated swimming pool. Also, rare for these parts, there is a railway station, with services to Limoges and Gueret. Limoges Airport is only about 45 minutes’ drive and the A20 motorway can be reached in approximately 15 minutes. © |
