Two cottages have been sympathetically restored to produce an idyllic longere style farmhouse with a traditional French air about it. It is suitable for a permanent or holiday home, with plenty of potential for enlarging the accommodation and proving an extra income.
The front door opens into an entrance hall with stairs on the right leading up to the two large interconnecting attics. On the left is a long lounge/ dining room/kitchen with a wood-burning stove and attractive beams throughout. On the right is a door to the bathroom and wc and to the far left is a doorway into a study/sitting room. Continuing on is the second long lounge/bedroom and from this are a utility room and next to it the main bedroom.
The gardens around the house are all laid to lawn with many trees and shrubs. There is also an enormous barn and several outbuildings with plenty of scope for projects.
The house is in a picturesque hamlet and only ten minutes from the motorway and shopping facilities of Azerables and La Souterraine. The city of Limoges, famous for its porcelain, is less than an hour’s drive, and its airport has daily services between France and the UK as well as to Lyon and Paris.© |
