This cottage is in an idyllic setting close to the banks of a river, and although on the small side has ample land around it to expand the living quarters.
A pebbled drive leads down to the house, which is entered via a veranda. The main room is a kitchen/lounge/dining room with tiled floor. Off to the right are two bedrooms, each carpeted, then a shower room with wc. There is at present no internal access to the roof space but it should be possible to create additional accommodation there. The house has gas central heating supplied from a tank in the ga rden.
The house has a large separate garage with its own driveway and is set in adjoining grounds of over two acres, with additionally a small island in the river and two plots of woodland for a total area of over three acres.
A short drive from the house is Jouac, which has a bar/restaurant with a small grocer’s attached. Main commerce is about 20 minutes’ drive. The city of Limoges, famous for its porcelain, is less than an hour’s drive, and its airport has daily services between France and the UK as well as to Lyon and Paris. Poitiers airport, also with daily services to the UK, is equally accessible. © |
