This former pub would make an excellent holiday home. It has been well renovated to make a 4 bedroom house at a really competitive price. The only down side is there is no garden to speak of, just enough to sit out in the sun on a summer’s evening.
The front door opens into a large airy lounge, to the rear of which is a large part fitted kitchen. On the first floor are a mezzanine area with four good size bedrooms and two shower rooms (both with wcs) leading off from here. There is also access to a convertible attic, with room for a further bedroom. The kitchen door opens on to a small courtyard with a garden shed, and an outside loo. The house is in a small village with no longer any amenities, but the nearby market town of Lussac les Eglises provides most essentials. The nearest major town is Limoges, famous for its porcelain, which is less than an hour’s drive. Its airport has daily services between France and the UK as well as to Lyon and Paris. Poitiers, with an airport and high speed rail links to Paris and Bordeaux, is also about an hour’s drive away.© |
