The overworked word 'potential' cannot be avoided when describing this excellent property. Currently a Chambres d’Hote in the larger house, the adjoining one has also been fully renovated to provide possibly a separate gîte, a rental opportunity, or an addition to the main house.
The front door of the main house opens into a lounge with the traditional features of tiled floor, exposed beams, and a wood-burning stove. To the rear of here is a shower room with wc, then a dining room. Off to the right of the latter is a large kitchen, with connecting door through to an integral garage. There are two separate staircases, one from the kitchen, one from the lounge, to the upper floor, which has four bedrooms, one en-suite, one with a cloakroom, plus a separate bathroom. There is the possibility of internal access from this floor to the adjoining house.
The second house consists of a large lounge/dining room, fitted kitchen, shower and wc on the ground floor, and two bedrooms above. This house has propane gas central heating, and both houses are on mains drainage. The property has an above ground swimming pool and several outbuildings, with a patio and manageable garden which also has a rear access.
The village is well provided with amenities, a post office, supermarket, chemist, vet, doctor and two restaurants, and is five minutes from a leisure lake. The A20 motorway is a short drive and Limoges airport is less than an hour away, with daily services between France and the UK. © |
