This house has a lovely English feel to it yet has all the advantages of a typical French rural setting. It has been tastefully modernised and only requires perhaps the addition of a shower upstairs to make it a perfect holiday home.
A glazed front door opens into a tiled lounge, with a wood-burning stove. Off to one side of here is a smallish kitchen, a shower room and separate wc, and to the other a dining room with French windows out to the garden. Upstairs are two good-size bedrooms, one with its own wc and washbasin. A third bedroom needs finishing off or could provide a large bathroom. Hot water is provided by a gas boiler in the kitchen and there are electric radiators to supplement the wood heating, which is hardly necessary most of the year. The property is on mains drainage.
To the side and rear is a garden laid to lawn, and across the lane is a large plot of land with a barn which could perhaps be converted into a small house.
The hamlet has no facilities but there is a grocer’s shop and bar/tabac a few minutes away. Main shopping is a 20-25 minutes’ drive, and the house is within easy reach of both Poitiers and Limoges airports, which have daily flights between France and the UK.
