This
19th century coaching inn is currently a thriving business but the owners
want to put their feet up and retire. If you would rather not take it
on in its current format there is scope to convert the ground floor and
the huge attic into additional living accommodation.
To the right of the entrance is a small bar area and to the left a large
dining room seating 40 people. To the rear of the bar is a smallish but
fully equipped kitchen. On the first floor the accommodation is surprisingly
spacious, and nicely decorated, with two good size bedrooms, a large sitting
room and bathroom with WC. The attic is 72mē with no low beams. The house
has oil-fired central heating and mains drainage.
There is a courtyard to the rear which could be made into a small garden
and includes an outside toilet and boiler room, and underneath is a vaulted
cellar.
The property is in the centre of a pretty village which has a few amenities
including a primary school, and the town of La Souterraine with all main
commerce is only five minutes away. The airport at Limoges with daily
services to and from the UK is 45 minutes' drive via the A20 motorway.
