Even estate agents go on holiday sometimes and this picture was taken by Kate on the Ile de Ré, off the coast of La Rochelle, just 2 hours drive from us.
The working donkey, known in the Poitou Charente region as le baudet du Poitou, traditionally wore these pyjama leggings to protect them in the fields from mosquito bites.

I visited a local garden centre/nursery recently - as maintaining and improving the garden here at Les Broux is an ongoing (and enjoyable) task. This nursery is different, it is run by an English couple who established their business here in the Vienne 18 months ago. They have a good range of plants, trees and shrubs and are owners who understand their business and will order in special varieties if you want them. Take a look at their web-site
www.arbres-et-abeilles.eu and do visit:

In order to expand our portfolio and meet the needs of clients ouside our are who contact us, we have opened a private sales section. Do take a look to see the latest properties we have added.
We constantly update our site with properties removed when we sell them, or are informed by the owners they have been sold; new properties added as we visit and take them on; price changes as we are notified of them.
It is therefore difficult to explain when clients are convinced that they have seen a property on our site that we know we removed weeks or months previously, that it is down to their browser settings and whether or not the web site is refreshed automatically each time it is opened. It does mean they are a returning visitor to our site which is great for us, but of course, they miss out on all the new property that has come on, or changes that have been made, since their first visit. So for those visitors who are not technophones we suggest you hit the Refresh button ( two green arrows, on your toolbar) each time you visit, just to be sure.

We have recently changing our house style and logo - but more importantly, we have altered the way we work. Up until now we have built the Papillon properties Hand Holding and After Care fee into the property price, so that we present to you, the client, a clear indication of what a property is going to cost you to own. Thus saving you from having to calculate exactly what all those additional charges there seem to be to house buying in France, to the house price you see advertised.
We have now made the Papillon service, and therefore the fee, optional. On all our property details you will see this clearly marked at the bottom in the price band. We do however continue to show the price of the properties to include the Notaire's fee and Government Taxes (the equivalent of stamp duty in the UK).
