This unusual property is next to the railway line which runs between Angouleme and Limoges. You will have to be on the ball to spot the trains though, as there are only two a day. So no being kept awake at night by the TGV thundering by. The embankment opposite the property is high, so you cannot even see the line.
Steps lead to the front door which opens onto a wide hall way. On one side is a large lounge/dining room with a corner fireplace. The ground floor bedroom is opposite, and it too has a corner fireplace. It could be a second living room if more bedrooms were added upstairs. At the end of the hall are the kitchen and a shower room and toilet. There is access from the kitchen to a large wine cellar and the boiler room. Upstairs there is a small second bedroom, a large landing which could be made into a bedroom, and an unconverted loft room. There is also a toilet and wash basin on this floor, so the plumbing is there to make another bathroom.
There is a small courtyard garden to the front of the property, and an attached garage, garden shed and workshop. The back garden is surprisingly large, and could be very pretty in the hands of a keen gardener.
The property is situated in a quiet street on the edge of this lively market town. There are shops, restaurants and supermarkets all within walking distance. The two trains do stop here so there is easy access to Limoges and Angouleme.
