That’s what I thought when I read the description of this property. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, sauna, conservatory, and the sit on mower thrown in for good measure. At this price? Well it is good, and it is true
I started my tour in the L-shaped conservatory, a perfect spot for cooler spring and autumn days. Off the conservatory is a very large open plan living area with a custom built cherry wood kitchen. In the centre of the room is an unusual circular fireplace, and around the corner a cosy sitting area with another fireplace. Double doors lead to a large room currently used as a games room, and a sauna. Stairs lead from here to a bathroom and a large bedroom with a balcony overlooking a spectacular view. A rather narrow staircase, (my only criticism), in the living room leads to the other three bedrooms, two of which have en-suite shower rooms.
Outside there is a separate garage with a wine cellar capable of holding 800 bottles, more than enough for the keenest connoisseur. The gardens are laid to lawn, with mature shrubs and trees
There is no commerce in the hamlet, but it is only a 10 minutes drive to the pretty town of Montbron, with easy access to the Dordogne, and the airport at Angouleme
