This pretty stone cottage will press all of the buttons of someone who is looking for a holiday home with no work to do. Though if you would like a little project to keep you busy, there are possibilities to expand.
The accommodation consists of a large kitchen dining room with the original terracotta tiled floor, a lovely old fireplace and fitted oak units. A step up from the kitchen is a small lounge with an open fireplace. Next to the lounge is a downstairs bedroom. These two rooms were probably once one big room and it would be easy to remove the wall and create a lovely large lounge. An open staircase in the kitchen leads to a large landing and a smart new bathroom. There is a huge attic bedroom which could be split into two rooms. At the end of this room a door opens onto an old staircase which leads back down into an outbuilding which is used as a utility room.
The enclosed garden is big enough for sunbathing and al fresco dining, but small enough not to get out of hand when you are not in residence. It overlooks the valley and the farm next door. The only livestock I saw there however were a few chickens.
The hamlet is within walking distance of St Ciers where there is a small shop. The Market town of Mansle where there are shops, restaurants, and supermarkets is about 5kms away.
