This was obviously once quite a grand house, but it’s looking a little shabby now. It is habitable, but needs some TLC to bring it back to what it should be. Though there are only two bedrooms, all of the rooms are spacious and light, and there is room to grow.
The front door opens onto a central hall with a downstairs toilet. On one side of the hall is a large kitchen with a tiled floor and French doors to the garden. On the other side of the hall is a lounge with open fireplace. This room also has French doors out to the garden. The small building you see on the end of the house is accessed via the lounge. It is an unfinished room which you could use for whatever you want, a study or a ground floor bedroom perhaps. A new staircase leads to the two large bedrooms and a shower room which has seen better days. There is room in the loft to create more bedrooms.
The gardens front and rear are completely walled, and though overgrown at present, could be very pretty, with lovely views. Opposite the house are a barn and an animal shed.
The property is situated in a small hamlet only a few kilometres from the market town of Mansle, where you will find everything for your day to day needs. For city shopping, Angouleme is about 30 minutes away. © |
