This large house has seen better days, and needs someone to come along and give it a makeover. On the plus side there is a lot to work with and it could become a wonderful family home.
The front door opens onto a large kitchen. There is a dining room next to the kitchen with a lovely old fireplace. As both of these rooms are quite narrow I would be inclined to knock down the wall between them and create a lovely big farmhouse kitchen/diner. Off the dining room is a large lounge with a beamed ceiling and French doors to the courtyard. Upstairs the bedrooms are all quite large, but the space could be re-designed, and more bedrooms added in the loft space if necessary. There is a working bathroom, (and mains drainage), but it‘s fairly basic.
There is a pretty courtyard at the side of the house, with a covered area which would make an ideal outdoor dining room. Just across the lane is another piece of land where you could grow your own vegetables.
Vitrac is a designated picturesque village, with lovely views across the surrounding countryside. There is a bar restaurant in the village and about 8kms away is the market town of Chasseneuil, where you will find all of the necessary commerce. © |
