Though
there is just one habitable room, and no sanitation, this property has
a lot of charm. It's situated in a peaceful hamlet, where all I could
hear was the song of the birds.
The living room is 37m2, and has exposed stone, huge old beams and lots
of traditional features. The attic above is the same size, and could become
two bedrooms. There is a very low beam in the middle, so two staircases
may be necessary. To the side of the house is an adjoining animal shed
which the present owner had planned to turn into a bathroom, had ill health
not intervened.
The larger of the two barns could become second house, or could be attached
to the cottage to make a lovely large family home. There is a second barn
with an open hanger, which could also become accommodation. There is a
garden in front of the house, with a small enclosed area behind the barn,
as well as a separate piece of land across the road, which would be handy
for growing your vegetables.
The hamlet is situated close to Montemboeuf, where you will find all of
the usual small shops. When you have finished all the work and have time
to relax, there is a golf course a mere 8kms away. © |
