room with pool table and computer games. For your comfort in the cooler
season there is a woodburning stove and electric heaters in all bedrooms.
Outside, the large private 12m x 6m swimming pool is tucked away behind
a barn that makes it a perfect suntrap yet it still has views of open
space. Outdoor table tennis, badminton, boules court and other games
are provided. The large front lawn is ideal for meals in the open air
and gas fired barbecues are provided.

Situated inthe Vienne department (86) at a criss-cross of local designated
walks through miles of open unspoiled countryside. Marked 7, 10 and
15 km routes pass by the gates. River Charente
- 5 mins walk - boat hire by the ancient Roman bridge. Fishing permits
are for sale at the local Chatain bar. Bonnezac
- close to the ancient town of Charroux where Charlemagne's
tower is a popular attraction and the old covered market welcomes a
weekly crowd as do the bars and restaurants. Civray
- several kms away - excellent weekly market and beautiful medieval
church. Poitiers and Angoulême are
about an hours drive away as is the popular and unique Futuroscope.
