from the river Boutonne, over 50 chateaux are within an hour's drive.
Centrally situated between the Loire and Bordeaux, we are convenient
to Melle, La Rochelle, Limoges, Cognac, Atlantic beaches and more. Come
visit Roman ruins, the Royal silver mine, a real dungeon and the place
that made porcelain famous. Sample the wines, the cheeses and the fresh-as-can-be
breads. For a real treat, tour a cognac distillery, a winery or relax
by strolling through one of the many public markets in the area.

Self-Catering Gîtes sleeps 9+ and 10+.
Open all year. All guests are welcome.

The
Cave Cottage has exposed beams and wooden ceilings. A huge kitchen,
fully fitted with fridge, gas oven, microwave and enough pots and pans
to serve 12 hungry guests. The living room has two convertible sofa
beds. Wood burning fireplace for the winter months. The three bedrooms
have 3 doubles, 6 singles and bunk beds. Large bathroom with tub/shower
with 2 washbasins, 2 WC's. and hairdryer.
The Cafe Cottage has exposed beam and wooden ceilings throughout.
The ground level is 90m2. with kitchen, living area and dining
areas. Upstairs are two large bedrooms with a total of 3 doubles, 3
singles and a convertible sofa bed. A tub/shower, twin washbasins, W.C.
hairdryer. In addition, there is a separate toilet room with basin.
Each cottage has separate access. Barbeques and laundry room with washing
machine is available for all guests. All linen and towels supplied at
no additional charge ! Local English speaking hosts.

Aubigné is only 4 hours drive from Paris or 2.5 by train. It is within
easy reach of Poitiers, Niort and La Rochelle. Great access by road,
rail and air. The nearest ferry port is St Malo. There are scheduled
flights from every metropolitan airport to Paris and from London Stansted
to Poitiers and La Rochelle. We are in the Departement of Deux-Sevres
(79), only 5 minutes from the border of Charente Maritime (17) and Vienne
(86).
