Description |
The gîte is in the same village as Papillon. Built in the early 1800's it was originally a barn, in 1950's and 60's it was the village grocery shop and it has now been converted into a single storey gîte, sleeping 2 to 6 people. |

of Accommodation: We normally let the gîtes weekly from Saturday to Saturday, but are happy to make alternative arrangements when possible. |
Facilities |
The large living room looks out onto the gîte's own garden at the rear of the house. There are double glazed windows on two sides of the room, giving plenty of natural light. The fully equipped kitchen area is to one side of the lounge and also looks out onto the garden. There are two sinks, a cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, as well as the usual kettle and toaster. There is a washing machine in the small utility room to the rear of the kitchen
There are two medium sized twin bedrooms and a larger double bedroom. Each of the bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom, all of which are 'wet' rooms, with the showers draining directly through the tiled floor. The largest ensuite also has a bath.
During the renovation process we have made sure that the gîte is fully wheelchair friendly (see our website for more info).
All towels and linen for use in the gîte are provided. English TV and a selection of books and games are included.
As the last few summers have been very hot and the winters very cold, we have installed full air conditioning and heating which is available as required.
The proprietors are both bilingual and are please to be able to help when they can.

With easy access from the RN10, Civray is mid-way between the departmental towns of Poitiers and Angouleme.

Prices |
Short stays: £20 per person per day.
Weekly stays: £250 per week for our opening season to September 2011,
£150 pw to Easter 2012
