We still have a good selections of barn to convert or properties to renovate, prices start at 25 000 € for a barn or small cottage rising to over 100 000 € for a large farm complex.

Cottages in basic living condition start at 55 000 €.
Town houses start at 60 000 € to 350 000 € depending on the size and amount of garden. (Lower priced town properties will only have a courtyard). Modern pavillons with little or no work to do are between 150 000 € to 250 000 €.

For a renovated village property or farmhouses with outbuildings and land you will pay upwards of 130 000 €. At the lower end expect to do some internal work.

The Deux Sèvres region is the hidden gem of the Poitou-Charentes. Largely undiscovered, property prices here are a little lower than in other areas. Small fields, rolling hills, woods and river valleys give a good choice of location. From a rural idyll to a smart town house, from the newest to the oldest historic chateau.

Properties are mostly built of the local honey coloured stone and tend to come with a wide range of outbuildings. Most have large gardens or fields attached. Prices are driven by the square footage of the buildings and the quality of property rather than by the land attached.

There are lots of things to see and do in the area and with its famous micro climate you get the second highest amount of sunshine to the Côte d’ Azure. There are always village festivals or markets to visit and the coast is only a little over an hour away. The area is also known for its sporting events. If you tire of the outdoors we have many good museums, art galleries and theatres and at the end of the day there is no shortage of restaurants to relax in.

This area has good road, rail and airport links to the UK and the rest of Europe.

Both Poitiers and La Rochelle airports are around one hours drive.

The channel ports are between 4 and 5 hours away, whilst the TGV and Euro star service from St. Maixent will get you to London (Waterloo) in under 6 hours.
