Our Property of the Week

This house has absolutely nothing left to do to improve the level of comfort, thus giving time to listen to the birdsong - or potter in the garden, or walk the woods to your own piece of river: definately a house close to heaven(ly).

Barns and houses to renovate start from 25,000 euros all fees included. Of course, if you want to buy land on which to build your own grand design, we have that too from 15,000 euros.

Two or three bedroom houses which are habitable but need a bit of modernisation and some decorating skills applied, will cost from around 80,000 euros although we sometimes have pretty village houses for less.

If you want to move straight into your new home without having to do more than choose the curtains, then you need to set aside around 150,000 euros for a small country property or a reasonable town house. At 200,000 euros, you can expect an attractive family home.

For a budget of around 300,000 euros, we have a selection of quality properties in prime locations often with potential for gîtes or even with an existing holiday let.

We also have a good selection of prestige homes and châteaux that start from around 350,000 euros up to 900,000 euros!

The Mid Poitou office covers a large, diverse area of Western France.  The countryside is ablaze with sunflowers in the early summer.

The climate
(France's second sunniest),
cream and honey-coloured Charentaise stone and Mediterranean-style tiled roofs remind you that you are in the southern half of the country.

Bustling market towns - such as Civray, Sauzé Vaussais, Chef Boutonne, Couhé and the historic Confolens - are dotted around the region, meaning that even the sleepiest hamlet is never too remote or isolated.

This area has good road, rail and airport links to the UK and the rest of Europe
.
